Key rates of major central banks BI and database: U.S. Fed, European Central Bank (ECB), Bank of England and Bank of Japan

The Center for City Development Policy, as a community of economists and analysts engaged in research on investment, modern technologies, and urban economics, constantly uses data from various sources. This data is used to analyze trends, make comparisons, and prepare our forecasts.

In this BI panel, for the convenience of the community, we have collected the Key Rates of the four largest Central Banks: the U.S. Fed, the European Central Bank (ECB), the Bank of England, and the Bank of Japan. The decisions of these banks affect not only the economies of their respective countries but also determine trends for the entire world economy.

The public database includes data from January 1, 1999 (the introduction of the EUR) to the current date. The database is automatically updated based on public data from the banks' resources.
Methodology (data sources):
Bank of England (BoE) - Officail Bank Rate
U.S.A. Federal Reserve (FED) - Federal Funds Target Rate
Bank of Japan (BOJ) - The Basic Discount Rates and Basic Loan Rates
Europrean Central Bank (ECB) - Deposit facility Key Rate (DFR) (confirmed as official key rate in 2024)
